Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 can be combined with Project Server if you need multiple people to collobrate on the same project, or the benefits of accessing your Project data via a web browser.

Each copy of Project Professional includes a Client Access License (CAL) for Microsoft Project Server 2007, whereas the standard edition does not and cannot be connected to a Project Server.
