About US SW Computers Limited was established in 2002 by Stephen Parkinson who now runs the company with his wife Karen. The business started as a small retailer often low cost custom built computers in Green Lane, Redruth. After winning a contract for the Epson Express Centre scheme we moved to Camborne to a larger shop premises. In July 2006 the business took a decission to begin to cease retail operations in a much more competitive market place, and with business-to-business and general repairs taking dominance over direct sales, the business moved to an office setup in February 2007. In the summer of February 2007 Karen and Stephen took part in a funded training programme which included some additional Microsoft Elements. By completed these courses and the following exams the business was able to quickly climb to a Microsoft Certified Partner. After becoming a Microsoft Certified Partner we added two new compentencies to our Partnership in Networking Infrastructure Solutions and Information Worker Solutions.
Although not statisfied with this lofty title the business strived to become a Microsoft Gold Partner for 2008, and this dream was realised, when over twenty customers submitted Customer Statisfaction Surveys to Microsoft, which gave us the needed points to fulfil the final requirements to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. During this time Stephen applied to become a Sage Business Partner and after a written, telephone, face-to-face interview with June Horne of Sage, the management of the Partner Programme accepted our application to this exclusive and premier programe. In January 2008 Stephen attended a intensive programme on Sage 50 and Payroll 2008 and then spent the next week studying in detail these fantastic products in prepartion for two 60 questions in 60 minutes examinations on all aspects of the programe. We are pleased to announce that on the 17th January 2008 Stephen passed both of these exams back-to-back in 120 minutes and passed both, meaning we are now a fully accredited business partner.
Our plans for 2008 are now to develop the foundation we have laid and continue to work with our existing clients, while looking for new local businesses that are in need of an IT company that understands their needs. We are also planning on holding a series of Seminars on Microsoft, Sage & General IT Matters throughout Cornwall. |
