SW Computers Limited was established in 2002 by Stephen Parkinson who now runs the company with his wife Karen.
In the summer of February 2007 Karen and Stephen took part in a funded training program which included some additional Microsoft Elements. By completed these courses and the following exams the business was able to quickly climb to a Microsoft Certified Partner.
After becoming a Microsoft Certified Partner we added two new competencies to our Partnership in Networking Infrastructure Solutions and Information Worker Solutions.

Although not satisfied with this lofty title the business strived to become a Microsoft Gold Partner for 2008, and this dream was realised, when over twenty customers submitted Customer Satisfaction Surveys to Microsoft, which gave us the needed points to fulfil the final requirements to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.
During this time Stephen applied to become a Sage Business Partner and after a written, telephone, face-to-face interview with June Horne of Sage, the management of the Partner Program accepted our application to this exclusive and premier program.
In January 2008 we became a fully accredited Sage Business Partner and quickly appreciated the benefits this title by growing us customer base by a few hundred percent during 2008.
In the summer of 2008 we also became an accredited specialist in Sage 50 ACT 2008/2009 which is a fantastic CRM program which connects to Microsoft Office & Sage 50 Accounts perfectly.
Towards the end of 2008 we have launched an online backup service open to businesses as a stand alone service or as part of their IT Support Contract. We have also invested in a new cluster of servers and new broadband capacity for our offices so that we can offer any Windows Software as a hosted solution and take up and interest in this has been fantastic, the ability to access your copy of Sage, Quick Books, Office, ACT, Payroll from anywhere, or allow contractors, sales staff or branch offices access to real-time live application as if they were in the office - without the need to invest in the servers yourself.
In the summer of 2008 Grant Sewell joined the team at SW Computers Ltd to become another senior engineer looking after our business customers and providing CISCO technical skill, Grants background as a CISCO and Microsoft instructor means next year we will be looking to offer a range of low-cost technical courses to business owners and their staff.
We have just signed up as an Invu Accredited Partner and will be undertaking training with Invu in the first quarter of 2009 to cement the skills, having an electronic document management system is the perfect way to cut down admin and storage costs, with an Invu system you can retrieve any document in less than 2 seconds!
If you use that solution in conjunction with a Hosted Terminal Server - you can really access your documents and files from anywhere in the world.
2008/2009 will be known as the year of the Credit Crunch but SW Computers have decided to make 2009 our year and by cutting peoples admin and IT costs we believe we can help their business grow throughout 2009.
